FCIP – Franciscan Colleges Instrumental Programme

Since 1956, the rich musical tradition has continued within our Franciscan schools (Padua, Mt Alvernia and St Anthony’s) under the auspices of the FCIP, which provides tuition on a complete range of band and orchestral instruments to over 450 students, performance opportunities and support to many community events.

Through the FCIP, tuition on all string instruments is available and commences at St Anthony’s with violin, viola and ‘cello from Grade 2 (7 years old), and double bass from Grade 4 (9 years old).

Tuition on all brass, woodwind and percussion instruments commences in Grade 5 at both Padua Primary (boys) and St Anthony’s (girls) and flows through to Year 12 at Padua Secondary (and Mt Alvernia).
