“Wow! What a wonderful day it was for the Year One students when two wonderful artists came to visit our school. The students created a piece titled ‘Circle Op Art’. Students created some simple stampers, and explored some fun simple printmaking techniques. With circles as the focus, they applied their inspiration from the wonderful work […]
I wonder how many sausages Fr Stephen has cooked on his barby for St Anthony’s students? Many St Anthony’s students have been a lunch guest at the Parish House over the years. Ms Mirfin’s Prep class visited last week and enjoyed sausage on bread and a chat with Fr Stephen. The students learn a little […]
Congratulations to our Year 4 Choir who attended the combined schools workshop and concert at OLA Wavell Heights recently. The St Anthony’s Choirs are going from strength to strength. Look out for an opportunity to listen to them perform in Term 3.
Fire fighters from the Chermside fire station visited the Year One Students last week. The aim of the visit is to assist students to develop an understanding of the dangers of fire and the appropriate response should they be in a situation where a fire is involved. A strong emphasis is placed on prevention of fire (including the dangers […]
Alan Welburn of the Quest Newspaper visited 4T to give the students inside information on what his job as editor of the Quest Newspaper entails. Alan explained to the class how to go about seeking out newsworthy stories, gathering information and supporting photography for a story and finally producing newpaper reports in our local area.
As part of their Sustainability Unit in Geography this term, 4T have been sharing their projects on how to REUSE what would otherwise be thrown out. Here’s Travis with his creation of a guitar.
St Anthony’s students from Prep to Year 6 danced the night away on Friday night, with flashing disco lights and the latest tunes. Thank you to our wonderful P&F for organising the event.
St Anthony’s students celebrated the Feast of St Anthony with many activities after Mass. The Franciscan Flash is a House colour relay where the children dress in a brown robe (just like Fr Stephen’s) and relay race – this brought cheers and laughter. The students were also involved in an art activity and then each […]
Congratulations to our St Anthony’s Day award recipients. The St Anthony’s Day Awards are special awards which recognise students who epitomise the spirit of St Anthony by showing respect, self control, responsibility and a caring approach.
