In October St Anthony’s supported the Day for Daniel. It is about educating children and adults about keeping kids safe through child safety and protection initiatives. It aims to help empower our children to Recognise, React and Report if they feel something is not right.
A child from year 1 says of swimming lessons….”The swimming teacher puts us into groups. They show us how to swim then we have a go. They let us choose an animal and then we swim like that animal would. I was a stingray! It’s really fun to go in the swimming pool!

Ask your child what they do at the beginning of each day in class and they’ll tell you they share prayer time with their classmates. You might see small groups of students dotted around the quadrangle in the shade in the mornings. That’ll be our Prep students enjoying reading groups with parent helpers. A huge thank you to the parents and carers who give up their time for these groups.
With the completion of the Carceri, students were encouraged to experience and interact with the prayerful space. The space features many textures and a combination of man made and natural materials. We encourage all in our community to recognise the Cerceri as sacred space.
